CalCamino was born from necessity. I searched for months to find a scheduling app that did what I needed to do when it came to my businesses. The journey led me to frustration and this sense of disappointment in knowing as long as the internet has been around, no one outside of corporate coders who tailor huge programs for big companies had developed something for the entrepreneur and small business to help them manage their day-to-day and week-to-week. It's the secret behind efficiency and workflow. The few sites I found that looked promising had nice features in theory, but they were bogged down in their own terminology, learning curve, and steeped in other features that had nothing to do with the workflow in my own personal business. Other fine looking web sites had scheduling applications that ultimately displayed errors because of breaks in the code, fatal file-not-found errors, and some, because of poor management or just plain poor architecture, wouldn't even let me register to try their application at all.
My dad always told me the older I get, the more I'll realize if I want something done right, I'll have to do it myself. He was spot on. So that's pretty much what I did. I built my own scheduling and workflow interface that would suit my needs. This application, CalCamino, is the result of months and months of searching, and more months of development.
I'm keeping it small and manageable, and I want to help business owners and proprietors--from driving schools to massage therapists to mechanics--save a little time for themselves and their families by having a scheduling system that makes sense, both fiscally and practically. Reach out and let me know if you've been as frustrated as I was trying to get the job done. I can tailor a management and scheduling system just for you and it won't break your budget.
